Mystery Planet

Part 1 (Planet Making)

Our Makers were challenged with creating an imaginary planet in groups of two. We discussed the various types of possible terrain surfaces. Then using starch, water, and food coloring we made some Oobleck a fun non-Newtonian fluid to act as our planets surface.

Part 2 (Landers)

Next, the Makers were given the task of creating a Lander that would survive landing on their planet’s surface. The makers had to learn teamwork as they designed and created their landers in their groups. There was lots of fun to be seen as the Makers tested and made their landers survive the landing.
